Memphis Metro Housing Stats
Memphis-area home sales for August decreased 8.5% from a year ago, with 1,460 total sales recorded in the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® MAARdata property records database.
Sales were up 0.6% from July, when there were 1,451 total sales. Average sales price from August-to-August was down 1.7%, at $274,863. Inventory increased 6.0%, with 3,981 units listed for sale.
Sales volume YTD increased 3.9%, to $2.94 billion.
There is a total of 3,981 listings available to buyers in Memphis, this includes single family, condo and duplex properties for sale. The average list price for single-family homes is $415,387, $271,320 for condos, and for duplexes is $196,590. The market total for pending sales is 1,290 for single family, 41 for condo and 14 for duplex with the average list price of $402,602.
